The Inventory Window of the Seeker's Notes: Hidden Mystery game contains all of the non-Collection items you win in the game or buy in the Store for Coins or Rubies.
The Player's Inventory Icon is depicted by a picture of a brown leather satchel.
Accessing the Inventory EditIn the picture above, the second icon on the left hand side of the bottom of the Darkwood Town Map is the Inventory Icon (2). Tapping on the Inventory Icon will open your game Inventory.
The Inventory Window contains 8 tabs. The tabs can be toggled between by pressing on the 8 circular symbols at the top of the window. When you open your Inventory using the Inventory Icon, the first tab, Talismans, will be open by default.
You can switch to any other tab by pressing its symbol at the top of the Inventory Window. Each tab contains 1 or more pages of items, and each page contains up to 6 items in boxes. The item's name will appear at the top of the box, and an image of the item will appear inside the box, along with a number indicating how many of that item you currently own.
Tapping anywhere inside an item's box will bring up an information window for the item. This Information Window gives a description of the item's purpose; how many you currently have in your inventory; and information on how to win the item by playing the game (or if it can be bought in the Store).
If the item is one that can be activated in your Inventory (e.g. Talismans, Artifacts; Energy Items; Chests), then at the bottom of the item's Information Window will be a green 'Use' button.
Pressing the 'Use' button will use the item, and the number of that item in your inventory will decrease by 1. If you only have one of that item in your inventory, then it will disappear from your inventory after you press 'Use'. Pressing the brown 'x' in the top right hand corner of the Information Window will exit the window without using the item.
If the item is not one that can be activated in the inventory, but must be activated during game play (i.e. everything else), then at the bottom of the item's Information Window will be a green 'OK' button. Pressing the green 'OK' button or the brown 'X' in the top right hand corner of the Information Window will exit the window.
Talismans Tab (Owl Symbol)Edit
The Talismans Tab contains all of the Talismans and Artifacts that you currently have in your Inventory. This is the default tab once you open the Inventory Icon. You can activate these items from your inventory.
To activate a Talisman or Artifact, open the Talismans Tab of the Inventory and find the Talisman or Artifact you wish to activate and then tap on its picture. A box will appear giving more information about the Talisman/Artifact, what it does when activated, how long it lasts, and where it can be created or bought. Press the green 'Use' button to activate the Talisman/Artifact. Once activated, the Talisman/Artifact will appear on the right side of your desktop to show that it is active and a countdown timer will begin, indicating how much time is left for it to be in effect.
Energy Tab (Lightning Symbol) Edit
The Energy tab contains the different Energy items that you currently have in your inventory. You can use these items from your inventory.
To use an energy item, open the Energy Tab, and find the item you wish to use. Tapping the icon of an energy item brings up the information box for it. You can press the green 'Use' button to use the item and the energy will be added to your total. When you do not enough energy and try to explore a location, the game will automatically offer the option to use an energy item from your inventory or visit your inventory. If you have no energy items in your inventory, the game will offer to bring you to the Store to purchase some.
Tools Tab (Magnifying Glass Symbol) Edit
The Tools tab contains all the different Tools that you currently have in your inventory. You cannot use these items in your inventory, they can only be activated when playing Hidden Object Locations or Puzzles.
The Tools Tab contains all of the Tools you have collected, bought or won in the game. There are 4 types of tools: the Eyeglass, Bottle of Lightning, Magic Lantern and Flying Time. The number of each tool currently in your inventory is listed below a picture of each tool (no picture will appear if you have zero of any tool). Tapping on a tool item will bring up an information box about the tool and how it may be obtained. You cannot use tools from within the Inventory tab, they can only be activated while exploring a Hidden Object Location or playing a Puzzle.
Chests Tab (Chest Symbol) Edit
The Chests tab contains all the various Chests that you currently have in your inventory. You can use these items from your inventory.
Tapping on a chest picture will bring up an information box about the chest and its contents. Since the October 2017 Update, there is now the option to open multiple chests at one time. If you have more than 1 of any chest in your inventory, you will be prompted with an option to open 1 or more of that chest. Press the green 'Up' or 'Down' arrows to choose the number; press the green 'Open' button to open the chest. When you open a chest, the chest leaves your inventory and the contents of the chest automatically go into the appropriate tab of the inventory for that item. For example, opening a 'Magic Box' chest will automatically add 2x Ancient Scroll; 2x Eagle Eye; 2x Piggy Bank and 2x Thunder Amulet talismans to the Talisman Tab of the Inventory. You can navigate to their tab in order to then use the items.
Exchange and Reagents Tab (Shield Symbol) Edit
Tapping on an exchange item or reagent will bring up an information box about the item; what it is required for; where it can be found and whether it can be bought in the Store. Items from 'Recipe Quests ' and the Festive Fun events can be found in this tab.
Anomalies Tab (Gargoyle Symbol) Edit
The Anomalies tab contains all your Anomaly Summoners and Dispellers that you currently have in your inventory. You can use the Summoning items from your inventory, but the Dispelling items can only be activated when you play a Hidden Object Location.
Tapping on a Summoning or Dispelling items will bring up an information box about the item and where it may be found or bought. A Summoning item will have a green 'Use' button in its information box. Pressing the 'Use' button will summon that particular anomaly to a Location. Please note that you can only summon an anomaly to locations that are not currently under an anomaly or in CBA mode or at Novice room level. If there is no place for an anomaly to be summoned (if for example your whole map is in CBA mode, at Novice level, or already cursed with anomalies), then the Summoning item will not be used and a message to that effect will be displayed. A Dispelling item will have a green 'OK' button in its information box and can only be activated when playing a Hidden Object Location. When you play a Location that has an anomaly in it, you will be given the option to 'Explore' or 'Dispel' the anomaly before entering. Choosing 'Dispel' will use an Anomaly Dispelling item from your inventory. If you have none of the required dispeller, you will be given the option to purchase one from the Store.
Miscellaneous Tab (Bottle of Ink, Safety Pin and Ribbon Symbol) Edit
Fixers are needed to complete collections in the game. Tapping on a item's picture will bring up an information box about what it is used for and how it can be obtained. Old special event fixers you have collected are stored here as well as the various Guardian of Time pieces before it is combined
Access Tab (Key Symbol) Edit
The Access Tab contains all of the Special Items you currently have in your inventory but not yet used. Special Items are known as Access Passes/Keys and are needed, in addition to energy points, to play the Premium Hidden Object Locations and the current Special Event Timed Challenges in the game.
The number of each special item you currently have in your inventory is listed below a picture of that special item. Tapping on the picture of the special item will bring up an information box about what it is used for and the locations it can be found in. Unused special event access passes that are no longer required for a location will be turned into regular access passes after an event has expired. There are currently 12 Premium Locations requiring Access Passes.
