Hi, I couldn't find the water cane in the Train Station location. I googled the image but haven't found it yet. Could you please post the water cane picture. playing a game in another language is hard :) thank you
Yes, I founded this wiki - but really that means nothing more than I clicked on "start a wiki" and typed in a name creating a home page. The community here then really created the wiki.
No, I do not, and never have worked for MyTona, or any other game developer/publisher for that matter. I am just a fan, like everyone else here. A fan that stopped playing and updating this wiki when I was severely disappointed by the nature of the content of an early update to the game.
MyTona is a Siberian company, that has expanded to now include a Singapore office that was originally for support and marketing but does now appear to also be involved in development. You can learn a little about them in this article or on their website.
Fossiliiferous, has something changed on the Wikia SN Forum that would prevent users from being made aware of all the new threads ? A miscommunication about this left some harsh words by another user on this forum. When I look at my side Window I see this box. I would swear it used to say "more" in blue letters with a clickable link in the bottom corner if there were more than 5 updated or new threads. But maybe I am imagining that. Also how do we easily know new threads are started without clicking on Forum Tab> followed by a lengthy search of each and every topic and each subtopic? We are not yet "following" them until we presumably read them or comment, is that correct? Any clarification about how to avoid missing someone's new thread would be appreciated. It makes me sad that not seeing at least two threads this week resulted in hard feelings and hurtful words when the new update has taken its toll on emotions already. Please, any tips or advice welcome.
The forum activity button only ever shows 5 threads. The more button brings you to Special:WikiActivity which is linked in the blue navigation bar on every single page (under "on the wiki" section) on the wiki and shows all recent posts, or you can use Special:RecentChanges (accessed from the "see all activity" button on top of Special:WikiActivity) which will show everything up to 30 days.
You can follow any thread you want by using the follow button at the top, or in your toolbar (Help:Toolbar). You can also follow someones message wall using the toolbar, so you will get a notification every time there is a message on that message wall, but that might lead to you being overwhelmed by notifications.
Special:WikiActivity is probably the easist way to keep track of things. This forum is not too active yet, so the Special:WikiActivity still shows all posts in last day during very active times (like now with the update) though typically shows almost a week of activity here during quiet times between updates.
I don't remember seeinng a 'more' button on the fourm activity window, but there is always one in the wiki activity window (see image above) which looks identical but shows what pages have been edited most recently rather than most recent forum posts. But maybe it was there and I never noticed since i use Special:WikiActivity and Special:RecentChanges.
so now I see the "blue linked more" as I am on your page. It is in this Recent Wiki Activity box as opposed to where I was looking. Thank you for that clarification! So best for me would be to Choose Wiki Activity Menu option and then it will show the list of updates including new additions. Thank you very very much. This really clarifies. I wonder how many of us don't know to do this and only look at our bell and at our Forum Activity Box? We are clearly missing out and then duplicate posting similar threads.
I stumbled over here from SS. I have been half heartedly playing seekers notes as a down time back up. I don't understand how all of it works and some aspects seem more confusing and harder to me than SS. As my SS game has progressed I play seekers notes less and less. I checked in today and did a big oopsy and have no idea how to fix it. I thought I would ask you.
I never, NEVER, connect anything with Facebook. I leave those tasks in these games undone. Until I oopsed today. I meant to tap the one above it and slipped and hit it. It immediately did it and gave me rubies. Is there any way for me to undo this?
Sorry 4solace, update weeks are just so busy I didn't see this til now. I have never owned a facebook account and have no intention of every creating one so don't really know much about the connections with games. But it should just be a case of you disconnecting within the game itself (tapping on the facebook icon and seeing if there is a log out). Maybe ask on forum as others are bound to use it and should know better. It is usually easy enough to turn off in these games though.
Thanks for the welcome Fossiliferous.
I must say this is a really nice community. I posted a question as a non member and got detailed info back on it. Which says a lot. Furthermore players here invited me to join there list. All the little tips and tricks do help as well. Navigating the pages is a bit confusing - but that could be me as well, since this is the first time ever I joined a group.. wow!
When I post a thank you on someone's wall should I be able to see it afterwards ? I did post but I can't find those messages again !! Or then maybe I didn't post ???
I will learn. 1 level at a time 😉
Now that you have registered, you will get notifications whenever someone replies to your posts or any other page you 'follow' (see Help:Following). There is a little bell icon at the top of each page here, and whenever a page you are following gets a response it will have a number next to it to let you know and clicking on it will show you which post has the response and bring you directly to that thread. You follow any thread you respond to or start automatically, and can also choose to follow other pages as well. This makes getting around easier.
In the blue navigation banner at the top of the page there is also a 'Wiki Activity' option in the 'On the Wiki' tab. This shows all recent activity (edits, posts in forums, posts on message walls etc.) and on a smaller wiki like this you will usually be able to see everything that has happened that day in the Wiki activity, so it is also very useful to check it out when looking for responses/your friends.
I just noticed that at the bottom of the page is a black strip with links for history, shortcuts and a few other things. Has this always been there and I just now saw it? Is there a link so I can learn how best to use this "tool"?
Help:Toolbar will give you the details about the toolbar and how you can customise it so you can get around quicker. It has always been there, but it can be hidden/unhidden so often people don't realise as it isn't showing. There are two white arrows on the right hand side which hide it is it is displayed, and if it is hidden you will only see a little black box with those arrows in the corner so is easily missed.
i've always sorted the tables for ease of finding players, and that one in particular cannot be correctly sorted by the table sort feature due to the set up. But it is not problem if you prefer the other way, the edit has been undone.
Thanks Foss....but im just one person and that was how I personally used the list. I am so very sorry, I never meant to imply it should be changed back. I was curious as to why it went alphabetically....maybe there would be some other way for me to look at the new set up. I dont mind change....lol
I have alot of respect for all you do, please forgive any misunderstanding. I will gladly go along with however things are done....I love this forum and my friends here.
Special:SpecialPages is direct link, but you should also have access through the admin button on your tool bar (grey bar at bottom of every page, if you don't see it, it may be hidden so look for the small black box with white arrows on bottom right of page. From there go to advanced tab for list of special pages. These are mostly just reports. Note that the admin dashboard also gives you access to the sites features, but you should discuss major changes in forum before making them to allow all active users to decide if they want a change or not.
5sides has copied and pasted the text from somewhere, and so it has imported its own formatting. In the visual editor it will just show as text, but if you switch to the source editor it will show all the wiki text that is changing the formatting. If you want the font to use the sites default settings, you have to remove this custom wiki text which is over-writing it. Press edit on the comment, then switch to source view (the eyeball - second button along bottom of edit box - is the visual editor, while the first button - the two square brackets - is the source editor - you can use these buttons to switch back and forth between the 'code' and the 'display' of the text to see how changes work.
Because 5sides message has been copied in from somewhere (a browser window probably, though perhaps word) every single paragraph has imported formatting, so you have to remove them all, which is a bit of a pain. Just remove everything that isn't 5sides actual text (which you can always see in visual mode) if you are not used to looking at wiki text.
I've removed the formatting now from that particular post. If you to any post in that thread and access the history from the options, you can see my edit and what exactly it changed by pressing on 'diff' next to that edit in the history.
