Glad to see you are playing again. I am currently one of your friends in the game, LoriTY. Just wanted to let you know that I rock the clock while working a new room, to get the most out of my talismans. I’ll do some TT once I’ve gone as far in the new room as I can in the time allowed.
So I only gift back a couple times a month because of rocking.
I appreciate that you have been gifting and TT’ing, but understand if my lack of reciprocal gifting has you dropping me as a friend.
Just wanted to let you know why I’m not gifting/visiting back like I used to.
Hi Lori, so nice to hear from an 'old' friend! I hope you could make use of my gifts, and if you need anything just let me know. I won't delete you, and I really appreciate you not deleting me when I was asleep for six months. Keep rocking that clock and I will do the same.
I was curious - I was sending you gifts when you stopped playing. When you went back to the game, had all the gifts gone? Does MyTona have an "expiration date" on gifts? I suppose they do, but you should be able to confirm that. Thanks.
I see you are now inactive. I hope everything is all right. I am still visiting and gifting to you, don't know if that gets stored up, or if I have selected a location on one visit, and select it again on another visit, if it only keeps one of those. I hope the fact that you are not playing is for a good reason.
I originally only learned the time zone factor for gifting multiple gifts in one day, but now I also use the changing the date on my computer to refresh my energy, so I can play as long as I want to. It's interesting how the time zone clears the gifts, the day changing refreshes energy level, how soon you can rehire a friend and completes crafted items, but does not affect the trophies.
Again, miss you and hope things are good with you. Nisha
I've had to massively change how I'm playing due to change in job. Now have FT and PT jobs, and not much time to play Monday thru Thursday. Will probably still gift, but visiting is up in the air for those days. Just wanted to let you know. Will play some on weekends, but if marathoning with talismans, might not visit.
I completely understand, I am also job hunting and pretty soon I will have very little available time for the game. Congratulations on finding not one, but two jobs. Hopefully I will be just as successful. I will keep you on my list and I understand not visiting, especially if you've already got the achievement trophy for level 50 reputation...besides, it really benefits you more than it does me.
Thanks, and I love the way you change your icon and messages.
Good luck on the job hunt. I've had the part time job for years, but was laid off my FT job two years ago. Been hunting off and on ever since. It is such a relief to be employed FT again, even though now I don't have tons of time to play.
That's the first time the forum has ever been down due to tech problems. Bad timing! Please try again later? Your app to join went through and you're in. Now if the techies get the forum up, we're good to go! I'm so sorry the glitches slowed down the process!
Good to add somebody like you who is actively interested in visiting and gifting, and participating fully in this adfictive game.
My Wish List is often blank, don't need much these days, but I do appreciate any free access pass. You can send one free gift to each friend each day. I presume you know to scroll to the very end of the free gift menu to find the gold thread, garden lanterns etc.
I do not TT. I think it skews the game, although it allows you to gift more, and having friends who TT has been very nice for me. But I just play the game fully and the way it was intended. It hasnt hurt me any. So, if I were you, I'd do all the activities: work on levelling up trophies, banish, trade, visit, gift and seek. Use the seeking boosts, make Artifacts and use them. Build up a good bank of coins and reagents. If you do a bit of everything every time you play, it will help your game.
I live in Australia, so my hours are different to yours. But please do message me here if I can help you. I notice your wish list is blank. I have plenty of spare CIs so dont be afraid of asking for help. One thing I dont do often is gift craftable fixers, but I will for folks like you, because you are at a tricky patch at the moment. Lots of new rooms and low daily quotas. A bit of a hump which will smooth out soon enough. So update that wish list!
Hi Minki49, very nice to meet you. I started playing about a month ago, and I am thoroughly addicted to this game. As I was telling Eyeris1 yesterday, I enjoy this game more than my Playstation 4(which is broken, BTW). In the short time I have been playing, I have learned a lot, and I think one my favorite aspects of the game is visiting other players and charging their rooms, watching as the ocasional CI comes floating to my inventory. I only wish I could gift more than 10 CI's a day, it seems rather limiting when I have 100 friends to feed.
I also subscribe to the theory of not gifting craftable fixers, other than the occasional one here and there. I will keep in mind that you will want passes...do you have any particular one in mind? Maybe the highest level I'm allowed to give?
And about TT...I have mixed feelings about this. I've tried it, and think it would suck some of the challenge & fun out of the game. Lately I've been harvesting black pearls so I can get that sweet Shot of Vigor, but with TT, why would I even bother to do so? So for now, I will leave it alone and continue to hunt for pearls and enjoy the game like you do. EDIT: I did decide, though, that I would like to gift more than just 10 CI's, so we'll see how that goes. I will still work for my energy.
My wish list is updated, and as you can deduce, I like artifacts that involve cake. :-)
I thought I'd be in your w/r by now but you have so many 0s and Is that I just am not able to put in a combination that gives me anything but people who are either well over level 52 or well under it so please use my code 03KREY. I know we both start with zero 3 but then I mess up with your code after that. Also if your game name is extremely different then the name you use here please let me know so I am sure to accept you. Sorry for the hassle.
If you remember I do prefer rooms. Any rooms are fine but an energy reduction around the outside borders where the energy cost per turn is higher is always preferred. Only if you remember though. You will get into a routine and it can be hard to remember all 100 friends preferences. Usually accountants do trophies but anything is appreciated. No worries. I tend to visit late around 5pm PST because if I try to visit at other times it takes forever to enter rooms and is just difficult in general for reasons I am unable to figure out but I do visit every day. Do you want your trophies charged? It sounds like that is your preference and that would be quicker for me anywsy. Let me know. I'll gladly make an exception to my routine to charge your trophies. Did you take a break from the game and return or a break and return here at the forum? Maybe I misinterpreted something but I got the feeling you either started left and are back with renewed zeal or you just started playing a couple months or so and are somewhat new to the forum. Just curious as I am semi-new having started when Enigma was the event location. Regardless, I am glad we are friends and glad to meet you here at the forum.
After reading what Tashi wrote, I will defer to her-and your- expertise and start charging rooms instead of trophies. It's fine with me if you charge my trophies. I usually start my visiting around 9am PST every day and make sure every friend gets the full amount of charges...and I'm curious, how many friends can I have before I run out of charges? Is it 100? Or does it depend on my level/reputation?
I first started playing about a month ago during the Inviolable Prohibition event...got started a little late and couldn't finish it, that Villa seemed kind of hard to me. This latest event at Memory Square was somewhat easier and I was able to complete it. Now I'm hunting for pearls, stocking up on fire crystals, and getting ready for the next event. I love this game! With all the high tech graphics games going around on xbox & playstation, who would've thought I would get hooked on this one, lol.
I'm also curious...is there an end to this game? Has anybody ever lifted the curse? Just wondering. Anyways, I am also glad we are friends, pleasure to have met you.
I am so upset I just spent I don't how long answering every single one of your questions and gave additional tips and then it didn't post. Grrrr..... I will answer a bit shorter this time and revist to give you some unsolicted added tips as I attempted to do already but it is not here.
Trophies when charge have the same benefits regardless of which profession gives the charge. Some give extra energy, some ingredients, some xp and some coins. The amount depends on the level of the trophy not on the profession of who charges the trophy which is why in most cases friends prefer that Accountants charge trophies and others spread their benefits to the locations (rooms). Whether it is energy reduction, or an increase in xp, or coin it will have more value if used on the higher value rooms. (The ones that cost more energy to play and also give the highest rewards.) In addition, if 5 people charge one of your rooms you will have 5 turns with added benefits. Trophies if charged 5 times can only be collected once.
The maximum number of friends you can visit is 100 but of course you don't start out able to visit all 100 or give the maximum helps (charges) of 10 per friend. Visit every friend you have every day (even after the popup that shows you coins, xp, possible access passes etc stop popping up you can continue to visit to increase reputation and help more friends.) As your reputation increases you will be able to give more charges until you can give 10 at Reputation 50. I was able to visit 100 friends prior to this by visiting until I finally entered a room and tried to charge a location and received the popup that you have used up all of your charges for the day. Much like gifts this increases every day until you finally get to 100, however your friend counter will never go over 50. You can visit 50 on counter friends and 50 after and still get xp and reputation per help and of course more CIs. If for example your visitor counter indicates 35 friends, don't stop visiting at 35. Just keep going until you receive notice that all of your charges have been used. Level does not factor into visiting. Level unlocks free gifts and free access keys that you can send. You should be able to see that additional keys will unlock so that you can gift them at level 60, 70, 80 and so on. You can not visit the same friend more than once a day. You can multi-gift aka time travel (tt) as long as you don't play on a Kindle. That's a personal choice but I think it's very beneficial to you and your friends and if you are interested in knowing more about that or want to learn how I can steer you to the tt thread and help you learn myself. Some people have many apps on their devices and choose not to tt and I can elaborate on that if you like as well. (It was in my first reply that did not post.)
You've received 4 rubies for downloading the game, you will continue to get 1 per level and 5 per update but there are also a lot of bonus rubies in Achievements. No new achievements have been added since I've started playing but there are a lot already that reward with rubies sometimes starting with 1 then 2 and up to 5 for each level of achievement. You can always scroll through and see where you are close to earning rubies or close to leveling up a trophy so you can focus on earning those. Whether you purchase rubies or not is a personal decision but the bonus rubies are well worth the effort. I'd suggest you don't purchase tools, amulets etc from the Shop as you can craft amulets and get other CIs for tools, amulets, energy etc by adding to your wishlist, completing quests and visiting your friends. (Not all collection items are giftable so visiting friends and completing quests helps with those.) There are special CIs that you can get only with rubies which is why I you will want to try and save as many as you can. I can elaborate more on that if you are interested.
The game never ends. We are not far apart as far as when we started. I started after Mysteries of Darkwood (Enigma) had already started and then had Mayor's House and Mirror Hall before we finally overlap with the Villa. I've finished every event so far though and I'd guess by how fast the updates come out that I started approximately 2-3 months before you so everything you are doing now I did not too long ago and therefore I may be able to give you more advice or answer questions you might have. Of course this forum has a huge database of information ready made and you can find out just about anything about the game by using the Search function. Also there are so many wonderful and helpful members here who are always willing to answer questions or steer you in the right direction. You might enjoy giving yourself a mini tour of sorts and of course staying active here will help your game tremendously. I found this forum extremely early in my game and I feel very lucky to have benefitted from generous members who have made so many contributions to this forum or helped me directly. The updates come out one after the other so there will be a new update as soon as Foundation Day (MS) ends. I apologize if I've added anything to this response that you already knew but I hope you find some of this helpful. I'm also sorry that my original response did not post as it was more succinct but had more tips. You are making very good progress and I hope you continue to enjoy the game. Happy seeking and don't hesitate to ask about anything either here or on one of the forum threads.
Good morning, I got an early start today, and am done with my visiting, Got a few pearls while I was at it. Are you also harvesting pearls? I really want that Shot of Vigor.
Thank you for all this useful info, some I know already, and some is new. I did purchase some rubies when they were 50% off and 2x. The package of 450 rubies also came with 3 full tool chests, all for the low price of only $9.99. I really needed those time pieces(haunted lights & treasure box), the lightning bottles are useful with the Villa & Memory Square, and the spyglasses are essential when I need that last piece of treasure box, HL, or an object I'm searching for. I rarely use the lanterns, but will keep using them until I get the achievement trophy. Now that I have more friends, maybe I won't need to purchase as many finding tools as I used to.
I am intrigued by the concpept of TT, would love to know more about it. I see there are multiple threads on the subject, but maybe you could show me which info is most beneficial/correct?
Purchasing is personal choice but hopefully you can use those rubies for the very rare CI items like the ones that fill the Gargoyle, Ghost Buster (?), and Merchant's Secret artifacts. I think people often feel the need for tools which is understandable and it helps sell rubies but with enough friends you can get flying time and spyglasses to get through the puzzles. You may need more friends to visit and receive gifts from to start getting enough tools to not feel like they are urgently needed in the future. If and when you buy rubies it should be because they have a rare and an amazing offer and it seems you are happy with your last purchase so that's great. Just be careful of MyT drawing you into a not so good deal because you need something that friends can help you get. There is a non giftable collection which has the reward of Mud Pie and that one gives 10 of each tool. You will get one through quests and then once in while the CI spots will fill when you visit. Feel free to type flying time or spyglass into the search area of collections and see which ones are close to being completed and giftable and then throw those on your wishlist. Message me the next time you feel stressed about tools and if I have a spare collection for a tool chest I will send it otherwise I will help with other collections for tools. The more you play the less you will need them but sometimes the event rooms require them as well as you learn the hiding places. The spyglass is my favorite because it is the most plentiful tool and it not only helps with puzzles but in hidden objects it reveals the hiding place for you to remember for future use.
As far as tt it if you go to Eureka Moments there is a very long thread with all sorts of instructions. You will want to scroll all the way down to the bottom (don't even read the top) because of constant changes you will find a lot of outdated instructions on the upper posts and much more up to date information near the end. Give it a read and then I will help you. You don't want to mess up your trophies or gift counter so it helps to have a bit of a coach or at least ask enough questions in the tt thread that you are fully confident that you understand the most current process so you don't mess anything up. It's actually quite simple and routine will help a lot. I've shown many people how. I should probably keep instructions on my PC to share and just edit them when have changes. I am a bit short on time just right now and having bad shoulder pain but give me a bit and I can grab start to finish instrcutions that I have shared with others and just cut and paste for you and then answer any questions you might have. I don't want you to miss out on other people's experiences, opionions and routines so I highly recommend giving the latter portion of the tt thread (tt 2.0?) a good read.
Some of the achievements seem a bit insane. Like you have to use energy (waffles, cake etc) to level up your trophy so you can get more energy from the trophy. It really does pay off in the end though. I can tell you are already highly aware of the achievements as you mentioned with the lanterns. Try to use them in MS or any room where you may not feel 100% comfortable so they don't go to complete waste. I don't use lantersn much either but once in a while there is a room like the old mine that I would never play in the dark. Dark entities was easier in that room than total darkness.
The pearl challenge is fun and yes you can get that SOV. The pearls hide in the same places at each location. Depending on which location you enjoy the most or find to be the easiest you can very easily memorize the hiding places (tend to be about 6) and they don't even change from one challenge to the next. There are cheat pictures through out the forum for several rooms. I find that they all stand out like a sore thumb in the very well lit Clothing Store.
The cheat pics for MS should be easy to find. There is one other thread that shows some additonal rooms and they are working on page to show all the locations for all the rooms. When it's over you will find it takes some time to stop looking for them lol
Lots of luck with your pearl progress and I will dig up some tt info for you so I don't have to type it all out from scratch.
Ok, so I read the TT tutorial, and felt confident to try a little experiment. I set my PC date a day ahead, and like magic it reset my energy, trophies, and gift counter. I then went back to the present and continued with my quests & gifting until my energy was back down to zero and gift counter was full. I then tried it again, and voila, refreshed! Is this process repeatable infinite number of times?
I really don't like going into the future. Is energy your only goal?? Please let me know if you are interested in multi-gifting or just energy as that will make a big difference in the advice that I give. For energy only you can use that method as many times as you want. Most people go back not forward as you do not want to accidentally lose an event early and there have been some sporadic reports of problems that were much harder to fix because someone was going into the future instead of the past. There is a full energy and full reset of gifts that goes back in time only and has tons of benefits in gifting and for trophy collection. As I said though, knowing what your priority is will help. You can have as much energy as you want and be able to send dozens of gifts at one time to all of your friends as well. There's not a huge difference in methods other than waiting until your trophies are due and gift counter is empty and then not collecting it on the current date or sending gifts on the current date so you can travel back for energy or gifting as much as you want and any time that you want. I just need to know if you are interested in the gifting method?
I'm not really sure what my priority is, as of yet. I just want ot learn as much as possible and determine what's best for the goals I have. I do feel that a limit of 10 CI's a day is rather limiting, especially when I have 100 friends to feed. I want to contribute as much as possible to my 'community', so whatever advice you can give me regarding multiple gifting would be most appreciated.
Not at all. Tting for gifting goes much smoother and has less problems when you avoid going into the future and instead wait until your gift counter is completely empty (no CIs sent even) and your trophies are due (twinkling). Some people choose to go one day into the future to force that but it takes just one new game day for the gift counter to reset and 12 hours max to have trophies due. Regardless, once those two things exist, you then pick a date back in time, for instance 10 days ago. You simply turn off auto time and change the date to 10 days ago. You can collect your trophies if desired and then gift to your friends. Once done, be certain that your Gifts and Send tabs are open, and then move one day forward. Your gift counter will reset, your trophies will be due again, and all you need to do is close the gifting window, let the ad load etc and then again collect trophies if desired and then gift and once again move your date one day ahead (towards the current date) but not without first once again being sure that your gifting window is open and that the tab is on Send (Friends Needs also works for counter reset). Rinse, repeat as you gift and move towards the current date. Today was July 29th so you would want July 28th to be the last day you collect trophies and gift for that session. Once you are done on the date just prior to the current date, again make sure gift+send is open but instead of changing date (since you are just one day from current date) use set to Auto time/date again but this time when you go back to your game DO NOT collect trophies or gift. In doing that you can tt again at anytime you want since you still have the proper environment to do so (clear gift counter, trophies due.) Routine helps a lot and it can be a lot of hard work be sure you have addressed as many w/l needs as possible and keep up with key preferences. I can give more tips on those areas but first please let me know if you have any questions with the above. Some people do just go back a few days (when no amulets are running) to simply refill energy and that's fine. Most take advantage of the energy incentives, extra regent ingredients etc while helping their friends out by multi-gifting. This is also helpful if you have 100 friends but have not yet built up to being able to send to all 100 in one day (or if you fall somewhere in between that.) I need to gift right now and am rushing so please get back to me with any questions and I will give more tips when I am not so rushed. You will do fine!! I try to make sure I don't tt when real time is going to change at midnight or when my game resets at 01:00am which is why I am in a hurry to begin gifting now as I am off to a late start for today.
